About this tool

Our fancy font generator allows you to style any text with custom letters and symbols, ready to copy and paste. Use it to create standout usernames, gaming nicknames for Free Fire and Roblox, eye-catching bios for Instagram and TikTok, and stylish messages on WhatsApp and Discord.

Choose from dozens of custom fonts and fancy letter styles, including cursive, gothic, aesthetic, square, circled, and upside-down options, all organized by category. You can also combine symbols and decorative borders to create unique text, or use the "Generate more variations" button to discover endless combinations with every click.

Since these styles use standard Unicode characters, you don't need to install any font or app: just copy and paste into social networks, games, and messaging apps that support Unicode. Because they are special symbols, we recommend using them for nicknames, bios, and visual highlights, avoiding long blocks of text so screen readers and search engines can interpret your content seamlessly.

Fonts for Instagram

On Instagram, fancy letters work in your display name, bio, captions, Stories, and comments. The only field that won't take them is the @ handle, which requires standard letters and numbers. Keep an eye on the profile character limit: styles built from stacked marks, such as the underlined and strikethrough ones, count as more than one character per letter and fill up your bio much faster than the plain styles.

Discover the main Unicode font styles available in the tool. Below are the key features of each style.

Cursive & Script (𝓔𝔁𝓪𝓶𝓹𝓵𝓮): Mimics elegant, flowing handwriting. Ideal for sophisticated bios, artistic names and digital invitations.

Gothic & Fraktur (𝔈𝔵𝔞𝔪𝔭𝔩𝔢): Bold strokes inspired by medieval manuscripts. A great choice for a heavy, traditional or metal-inspired look.

Square & Circle (Ⓔⓧⓐⓜⓟⓛⓔ): Letters inside square or circular frames, creating a geometric and modern look widely used in gaming nicknames.

Game (乇乂卂爪卩ㄥ乇): Tribal, blocky styles with special characters, designed for standout nicknames in games like Free Fire.

Monospace & Small Caps (𝙴𝚡𝚊𝚖𝚙𝚕𝚎): Each character takes equal space, reminiscent of typewriters and terminals. Clean, minimalist aesthetic.

Bold & Clean (𝐄𝐱𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞): Bold, sans-serif and outlined versions — legible and elegant, perfect for standing out without overdoing it.

Wild & Decorated (єχαмρℓє): Exotic styles full of ornaments, for those who want something truly out of the ordinary.

Underlined & Effects (͞E͞͞x͞a͞͞m͞͞p͞͞l͞͞e͞): Letters combined with Unicode marks: underline, strikethrough, arrows and other details applied to each character.

Norse Runes (Viking) (ᛖᛜᚨᛗᛈᛚᛖ): Straight strokes simulating ancient runes carved in stone. Ideal for RPGs and Viking-themed nicknames.

Medieval Monastic Script (ᴇxꬱᴍᴘލᴇ): Rounded and classical calligraphy inspired by manuscripts hand-written by medieval monks.

Mirrored / Reverse (Ǝxɐɯdꞁǝ): Text flipped horizontally as if viewed through a mirror.

Questions & Answers

How to add fancy letters on Instagram?

Use this font generator to create a different style for your text. Then, on Instagram, tap "Edit profile" and paste the result into whichever field you want to change.

Why can't I use fancy letters in my @ (username)?

Social networks like Instagram, TikTok, and X (Twitter) allow custom fonts and symbols in your Display Name and Bio, but require standard characters (letters, numbers, dots, and underscores) in your @username handle. This ensures your account can be easily tagged, searched, and linked across the platform.

Are custom letters and symbols allowed in game nicknames like Free Fire and Roblox?

Yes. Using Unicode characters in display names and gaming nicknames is completely safe and will not result in a ban in any game. However, we recommend previewing your chosen style before confirming a nickname change, as some older games may not support certain special characters and could display them as blank spaces or squares.

How to add fancy letters to your Free Fire nickname?

Type your desired name into our tool and click "Copy" on your preferred font style and border decoration. In Free Fire, open your Profile (top left corner), tap the pencil edit icon next to your current nick, paste the copied text into the nickname field, and confirm using a Name Change Card or 800 diamonds.

Why do some letters appear as squares (□) or question marks (?)?

This happens when the operating system, app, or platform does not support the Unicode character used in that style (an effect known as tofu). To fix it, simply choose another font style from the list. Fonts like Bold, Cursive, and Small Caps have high compatibility and work on most mobile devices, apps, and social networks.

How do I use fancy letters on WhatsApp?

Copy the style you like and paste it wherever you want: open Settings to edit your name or About, or paste it straight into a message, a group name or your status. The same works in other messaging apps like Telegram and Signal. The characters are Unicode, so they work on most Android phones and iPhones with nothing to install. If a field shows the text simplified or strips some marks, pick a simpler style or lighter borders.

Do these fancy fonts work with screen readers for visually impaired users?

Not always seamlessly. Because aesthetic letters are generated using mathematical and special Unicode symbols, screen readers (like NVDA, TalkBack, and VoiceOver) often read each character by its technical symbol name instead of pronouncing the word naturally. To keep your profile accessible and inclusive, use fancy styles for nicknames, artistic names, and short highlights, while keeping long informational texts and contact details in standard text.
